Frequently asked questions
Everything about how Pill-Free Wellness tests and scores wellness and recovery tools.
How do you score a wellness tool?
We weigh each tool against what published research supports and what long-term users report. It is then rated 1 to 5 on ease of use, features, value for money, and support, and the overall score is the average of those four on a 10-point scale.
Do you personally use every tool you review?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. Scores come from the published research, the product's own claims held up against it, and what long-term users report.
Is anything on this site medical advice?
No. Nothing here is medical advice and we are not clinicians. Drug-free tools have a real place, but they do not replace professional care - if something is wrong, see someone qualified.
What do the four score pillars mean?
Ease of use asks whether it fits into an evening you would actually repeat. Features covers what the device does and what the research says it can do. Value compares the price to a cheaper habit that achieves the same thing. Support means warranty, claim honesty, and how returns are handled.
Are your reviews independent, or do brands pay for better scores?
Independent. Commissions keep the site running and nothing else. No brand sees a score in advance, and the ones that did not help say so on the page.
How often are reviews updated?
We revisit a review when a device gets a new version or when the research behind its claims moves, because the evidence is often younger than the marketing.
Do you earn money from the links on this site?
Yes - some links are affiliate links that may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. The disclosure page explains it in full.
Can I suggest a tool for you to review?
Yes, please - the contact page reaches us directly, and we would much rather review a reader's request than another ad we saw at 1am.
